In reading we are working on:
* drawing conclusions
* summarizing a selection
* comparing and contrasting
In writing we are working on:
* conventions - writing sentences correctly using a variety of types of sentences
* using capital letters, end marks, proper grammar, and paragraphs in all our writing
* writing summaries, personal narratives, and comparing and contrasting
* writing plural nouns, possessive nouns, abbreviating nouns, pronouns, and antecedents
In math we are working on:
* multiplication of two digit numbers
* dividing with remainders, dividing two and three digit numbers
* problem solving, with extra information and missing information
* rounding and using compa to estimate answers
In social studies we are working on:
* the reasons the Spanish explored in the Americas
* learning how the Spanish affected Native American life
* the reasons Americans started moving West
In science we are working on:
* the water cycle
* conserving water in a desert environment
* reading a weather map
